Families fill the booths and big tables to enjoy large portions of red-sauced pastas, veal, pizza and chicken entrées. Some patrons can't take the wait, which can be very long, especially on weekends, and go for a carry-out order instead, further jamming entryways. Heady aromas from the kitchen will almost make you forget the crowds, the kids and the TVs. For more complex dishes, go to the specialties page on the lengthy menu. Two favorites: chicken and eggplant served with a side of spaghettini and red sauce, and spicy Italian sausage with fresh peppers, tossed over spaghettini. The typical manicotti, calzone and similar classics of Italian-American cooking are well done here. Vegetarians---and others---will love the linguine broccoli.
