Agriturismo Masseria sul Mare Description:
Our restaurant, which is housed in the former storerooms where the almonds were kept to dry, seats 55 guests.
The paved stone floor as well as the plain architecture are the ideal setting to enjoy and delight in the variety of our dishes.
They are accompanied by an exquisite selection of Sicilian wines. During the beautiful summer months we serve lunch/dinner in our extensive court which is directed towards the sea.
The local microclimate favours us with fresh evenings during the whole of summer.
Our kitchen is using the products produced locally: DOP oil from the Iblei mountains, meat, cheese and sausages from neighbouring Buccheri, vegetables and fruit from our own garden, as well as wines from the most interesting wine-cellars in Sicily.
When cooking these products and thus changing them from raw to cooked, we pay special attention to the fact that nothing from their original excellence goes missing. We prefer a "Cucina di prodotto“ to creative cooking.
We like to play ever so slightly with flavours and smells and use herbs such as mint, basil, wild fennel, oregano and thyme but also orange and lemon peel, pistachios, almonds, pine seeds and raisins.
