Pf Chang's China Bistro Description:
Located at Irvine Spectrum Center in front of Edwards Theaters, this branch of the P.F. Chang's empire was practically tailor-made for the dinner-and-a-movie date. A bustling scene and friendly service are apparent here, as at all of the Chang's siblings. The updated versions of standard Cantonese dishes are usually prepared well, though the kitchen is inconsistent, and we've been disappointed on occasion. We've enjoyed the minced chicken and vegetables in lettuce wraps to start. For those with a taste for the spicy, the orange peel beef or shrimp should do the trick, although we're partial to the lemon scallops, chicken in black bean sauce and the eggplant and chicken. Avoid the fun noodles, which are rubbery and not fun at all. The fairly extensive selection of wines by the glass does a rather good job of complementing the food.
