Waterfalls Description:
Located directly across from John Wayne Airport, Waterfalls maintains an American and European theme with mostly Mediterranean influences. The soups, salads, pastas and mains are based on French, Italian and Spanish cuisines. For lunch, there's a good entrée salad selection, lots of plump and crunchy sandwiches and several upscale pasta dishes. The halibut entrée is a study in healthy Mediterranean flavors, with grilled vegetables, oven-roasted tomatoes, olive oil, lemon juice and a tarragon infusion. Or, try the blackened pork chop with a refreshing mango-papaya relish. In addition, look for tapas-style plates poolside at the hotel's iLum Lounge, which offers hipsters a modern spot to hang out, complete with private outdoor cabanas outfitted in black-and-white leather.
