Jackalope Ranch spreads over 21,000 square feet and has a multiplicity of spaces for eating, from the boisterous and noisy saloon with its own menu (try the bison burger) to several more secluded rooms with banquette tables and their own patio terraces. The menu is almost as big as the place, with a range of appetizers such as a tasty smoked duck empanada and a crab chile relleno, a variety of ceviches, tender barbecue and a diverse number of sides accompanying the meat and fish entrées, in which bold flavors and spicy heat are favorite components. Those who want intimacy may feel daunted at first sight, but it can be found---somewhere in that complex of venues.
