Yats Description:
All entree's are $6, or $6.50 if you want to try a half order of two different menu selections. Menu options change daily, and sometimes they run out of the items listed on the website and substitute it for something else.
The line often snakes out the door at this South Broad Ripple storefront that dishes up authentic Cajun and Creole cuisine on the cheap. The professional crowd, youths heavily pierced and tattooed, and mothers pushing strollers wait patiently for their chance to order etouffée and jambalaya at tables with diner-style vinyl covered chairs. A favorite of vegetarians is the B&B---black beans and caramelized corn in a light cream sauce. The chicken Creole is potentially addictive with its signature red sauce; the fact that any degree of heat can be attained adds to the appeal. Hunks of andouille sausage please, too, especially when they're used to stud red beans and rice. The menu on the chalkboard changes daily, so there's never a chance of getting bored.
