This neighborhood restaurant serves some of the best Thai dishes found locally, so it is no surprise that it's always busy. But look for the wait to be shorter since it expanded into the neighboring storefront. While regulars favor the pad thai and pad kee mow, those in the know go for the poh taek, a main dish soup that offers ample servings of shrimp, squid, mussels and fish balls. Look also for specials written on the chalkboard at the front of the store where you'll likely find a good dessert option, such as pumpkin pudding, too. Vegetarians will include this place on their short list as well, since there are plenty of meat-free appetizers, soups, noodle and rice dishes to choose from. Entrées include a soothing broth and slaw salad or a crispy, thin spring roll. Refreshing Thai lemon iced tea will tame even the hottest dish.
