Paintings by the Masters are for viewing, while soups, salads, pastas and artisan sandwiches made with fresh, locally grown or produced ingredients are for devouring. Nourish Café, in the Indianapolis Museum of Art, lives up to its name. The spinach salad with grilled flank steak, fresh tomatoes, apple chunks, toasted pumpkin seeds and caramelized squash vinaigrette tastes as good as it is for you. Ditto the vegetarian mushroom ravioli flavored with kale, squash and Indiana tomatoes. Open the hours of the museum, Nourish offers a happy hour menu Thursday and Friday nights, when the museum stays open later. Relax with a cocktail, regional brew or organic wine and an array of tapas on the patio overlooking the spacious grounds or in the lounge with its ceiling to floor wall of windows. It's always a great time to share a roasted vegetable pizza of caramelized onions, pumpkin hummus, corn and sweet peppers. Now that's a piece of colorful art that's edible.
