The first-rate hot dogs are, of course, the meat of the issue at this spic-and-span stand, but if your taste runs toward garden-in-a-bun red hots, Tasty Dog is your Eden. A nimble-fingered line of servers piles on mustard, relish, onion, lettuce, cucumber, pickle, tomato and hot pepper with abandon; it's a lot like getting a free salad with your dog. The sit-down space has plenty of indoor tables and counter seats, and on summer days, wilted commuters hop off the El and take refuge in the picnic area. If dogs aren't your thing, you'll find turkey burgers and more, too.
