Jacky's Bistro Description:
This cheery, wood-trimmed bistro has a certain style about it, making it a good place to pass an evening---particularly when feeling cozy is what's called for. Now under different management (its namesake Jacky Pluton is no longer involved), Jonadab Silva teamed with David Lipschutz (Blind Faith Café). And though they've kept some of its predecessor's staples---killer roast chicken, for example---the menu has stretched to include more than (admittedly tasty) herb buttered steak frites. Lobster tortellini, though topped with truffle shavings and served in rich, pink-hued cream sauce, shows restraint. Vanilla-infused pork belly arrives crisp and artfully plated with citrus-herb salad, while soul-warming, seven-spiced short ribs with lush red wine sauce and creamy mashed potatoes receives a bright boost from gremolata. Unfortunately, service slip-ups can be tough to ignore.
