Fung's Kitchen Description:
One of the true Hong Kong-style eateries in Houston, Fung's offers authentic, fresh Chinese seafood. How fresh? How about a wall of aquariums with flounder, ling cod, eel, lobster and other exotic creatures? With more than 400 items on the menu, Fung's promises an adventurous Chinese dining experience. The room is one large banquet-style hall accented with pink and mauve napery and cases filled with Asian artifacts. Exotic crustaceans, alligator, ostrich, wild game and ingredients like eel milk populate the menu. For those with less curious palates, we suggest unique yet familiar offerings like the crispy egg rolls with shredded duck, shrimp rolled in bacon, garlic-encrusted whole lobster, curried noodles and delicate dumplings. Dim sum is very good on weekends, but service can be spotty at times, so go early.
