Becks Prime Description:
Becks Prime has been mesquite grilling fresh-ground and hand-packed burgers for more than 20 years at the original Kirby Drive location. With its tree-shaded patio and double drive-thru, this location draws devoted fans from West U families to 'burb-bound commuters. The two-hander, half-pound patties are grilled with just a hint of pinkness and lots of juiciness over mesquite coals. Lightly sweet, toasted buns are loaded with shredded lettuce and thick slices of tomato, onion and pickles. The house sauce adds an extra kick. The menu also includes a good quarter-pound hot dog made exclusively for Becks by Boar's Head, plus a pretty decent Caesar salad and even whole T-bone and grilled chicken dinners. Fresh fish lovers may opt for the ahi sandwich, also slightly smoky with mesquite flavor. Wash it all down with a huge milkshake, although wine and beer is also available.
