Grove Description:
The hippest venture from the Schiller-Del Grande folks (of RDG + Bar Annie fame) is nestled amid the tree- and sculpture-filled Discovery Green park in downtown Houston. The 10,000-square-foot space of wood floors and floor-to-ceiling glass overlooking the park is cool and elegant while the rooftop Treehouse is a bustling place for the in-crowd to drink before heading to a nearby Rockets game. Not just beautiful, The Grove is also park-friendly, utilizing its own garden-grown herbs and tomatoes and using eco-friendly to-go containers. Chef Ryan Pera draws from local farmers to whip up his decadent Dustin's Farm deviled yard eggs, a good appetizer before sinking your teeth into the charcoal-grilled skirt steak with fresh jalapeños and a smear of tomatillo sauce plated with a mound of cheese fries smothered in real Texas chili with hunks of beef.
