Ciro's Description:
One of Houston's first contemporary Italian joints boasts a bocce court along with a sunny patio and gurgling Italian-tile fountains. Family-friendly and family-run, Ciro's has always been about bold, generous fare and innovative twists on Italian cuisine. We think a perfect lunch is the insalata de pollo grill, moist rotisserie and grilled chicken over a wedge of romaine, drizzled with a pesto vinaigrette; or the insalata de mare, tender mixed seafood piled on top of greens. Things get richer with Ciro's baby Laurel Ann---grilled shrimp and veal medallions lavished with a Dijon mustard sauce and garlicky baby sautéed veggies. Pizza from the wood-burning oven---including our favorite topped with spinach, roasted peppers and Gorgonzola---is always a treat.
