Driving direction to Honolulu Hale:
Taste of Honolulu is held on the grounds of Honolulu Civic Center, adjacent to Honolulu Hale. These streets serve as boundaries for the grounds: King (makai), Alapai (Diamond Head), Beretania (mauka) and Punchbowl (ewa).

Driving from the West (ewa): As you approach downtown on the freeway (H-1), take the Punchbowl exit. Get in the left lane and turn left on King Street. Take another left at Alapai Street and look for directional signs to the parking lots.

Driving from Windward: Take the Pali all the way to King Street. Turn left onto King and again on Alapai. Look for directional signs to the parking lots.

Driving from Waikiki: There are many different routes from Waikiki. If possible, ask the hotel staff for the best route from your hotel. The Ala Moana route works from most locations: traveling on Ala Moana Boulevard towards Ala Moana Center and downtown, turn right on Ward Avenue. At Kapiolani Boulevard, turn left. Stay on Kapiolani. At the big intersection, you want to be in the left two lanes as you will take Alapai Street to the parking. You will see the Taste of Honolulu signs and tents.

The Bus from Waikiki: From Kuhio Avenue, you can take either the
#2 westbound bus (School Street/Middle Street) or #13 westbound (Liliha). Buses leave every 20 minutes or so for the ten minute ride to Taste of Honolulu. You will see the festival signs in time to ring for a stop or ask your driver to let you know when to get off for Taste of Honolulu. You will catch your return bus to Waikiki at the front entrance of the event on King Street. Look for any volunteer to ask directions to the bus stops.
