Uncle's Fishmarket & Grill Description:
Located on Pier 38 just steps from the Honolulu Fish Auction House along Nimitz Highway, the restaurant has a casual, upbeat atmosphere where customers place their orders at the counter. You'll find a dizzying selection of fresh fish from ono, ahi, opah or mahi mahi. Preparations range from pan-fried with chili pepper and soy sauce to sautéed in garlic, butter, wine and lemon. The place gets very busy at lunch as patrons snap up specials from fresh tuna sandwiches to fish 'n' chips. The menu is the same for dinner though the specials may vary depending on what did or didn't sell out at lunch. We suggest the ahi poke tower which layers Hawaii's favorite fresh ahi preparation with guacamole, rice and nori, served with tortilla chips. For those who shy away from fresh fish, there is a variety of steaks, pastas, burgers and salads as well.
