Ryan's Grill at Ward Center Description:
Since 1983, Ryan's has been a bustling lunch and post-work drinks-and-apps spot for Honolulu's young professionals. Accordingly, the menu is heavy on appetizers and making a meal from the ahi poke with Maui onions, fresh ogo and chili oil bolstered by the ground chicken and pork lettuce cups dressed with sambal oelek is no bad thing. For heartier fare, consider the guava-tamarind glazed pork ribs or the mango chicken with tropical fruit relish served with red beans and rice. There are daily specials and that is the place to look if you want seafood---there is woefully little available on the regular menu outside of the aforementioned poke. The beer selection is impressive and the cocktails are always good.
