Zuma Description:
Tucked away on levels 5 and 6 of The Landmark shopping mall is this 10,000-square-foot Japanese izakaya-inspired dining hall. With a ceiling the proportion of a cathedral, Zuma features three dramatic open kitchens on the main level (a main kitchen, a sushi counter and a robata counter) while a chill-out lounge upstairs is accessed via a striking spiral stairway. Guests are spoiled with a selection of more than 2,000 bottles of wines and Champagnes as well as ten wines served by the glass. The cuisine here veers towards fusion Japanese; start with a three piece sashimi platter followed by unique creations from the small dishes menu (think sliced yellowtail with green chili relish, ponzu and pickled garlic). Hokkaido scallops from the robata grill are fresh and juicy while the miso-marinated black cod from the signature Zuma dishes menu is nicely grilled until slightly charred on the outside and moist on the inside. Zuma has a mind-boggling array of desserts; if it is too painful to choose, you can't go wrong with the almond milk tofu with vanilla Mandarin, ginger wafer and Mandarin orange sorbet served in a wooden box.
