Tucked away in the hip Chamberlain hotel, Bistro offers peace and quiet in a sleek and very masculine green-tone décor scheme just a few yards away from busy Santa Monica Boulevard. Chef de cuisine Mark Pierce composes a well-balanced California-French seasonal menu with a bistro flair. Divided into sections of traditions, stream and field, you'll find luxe items like seared foie gras with brioche french toast, Sauternes and Kadota fig jam, as well as seared Kobe beef carpaccio. Hamachi comes with peekytoe crab and sweet corn velouté, and the bistro rib-eye is accompanied by golden chanterelles and a caramelized shallot reduction.
