A dining destination for budget-conscious families and young couples, this strip-mall eatery offers a large and varied menu of Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Japanese and fusion selections, generous portions and moderate prices in a comfortable, albeit dated, atmosphere. The food and service, however, are consistently mediocre at best. After a 20-minute wait, egg rolls arrive at the table still frozen inside and greasy on the outside. Vegetable lo mein features gelatinous, over-cooked noodles, shriveled broccoli, carrots and snow peas, brown and wilted bean sprouts and a sauce offering little more than a week's intake of sodium. An equally over-salted Thai-style beef dish further illustrates how poor ingredients can ruin a dish that sounds wonderful on paper.
