El Novillo Description:
This Latin American theme restaurant flaunts plate upon plate of exotic Central and South American cuisine, and some less interesting American standbys. Miniature tacos and flautas adorn the Nica-tizers section of the menu. Succulent homemade sausage is a main course served with exotic sour-sweet slaw. Among authentic Nicaraguan meat-lovers' is a 16 oz. butterflied tenderloin presented sizzling on a platter and served with three sauces---chimichurri, sweet tomato and onion---and a spicy pickled pepper. Tipitapa, fried whole, cornmeal-crusted tilapia, is a delicacy, but steaks outshine seafood here. Enjoy all the plantain chips or Nicaraguan fried rice and beans you can eat on the side. El Novillo's expansion to Miami Beach is a testament to its following--consider it the Outback of Latin American steakhouses.
