St. Louisans like their Mexican food, and the Morales family has fueled their love of enchiladas and tamales since 1983. The strip mall location is nothing fancy, but the serviceable interior tends to be forgotten once the food arrives. While there is standard Tex-Mex fare on the menu---and the guacamole, mole, black bean soup and other standard dishes are truly tasty---look farther for items like beef tongue tacos, chilaquiles and birria, a spicy stew.
