Braza Restaurant Description:
At this big, bold churrascaria, strategic eating is a must. Consider the set-up: a team of servers walks between tables, offering you skewers of grilled meat---top sirloin, smoky chorizo, roasted leg of lamb, pork loin, chicken, seafood, sausages---until you tell them to stop (or, rather, until you flip the cardboard disc on your table from green to red, signaling that it's break-time). Surrender too early, though, and you might miss some of the best selections: savory Parmesan-encrusted pork, tender beef tips and garlic-smothered picanha steak. (In fact, you could easily feel satisfied after a single trip to Hartford's most generous and eclectic salad bar, followed by the arrival of sides like crispy yucca fries.) Not all the selections please; some dry out after one too many spins on the rotisserie, while others are awfully salty (a notorious feature of Brazilian barbecue). But the servers are happy to return repeatedly with your favorites. Finally, you need to save room---and money---for buñuelos filled with molten chocolate, and a frothy cup of cappuccino; beverages and desserts aren't included in the fixed price.
