Pierangelo Description:
The bold red and black storefront leads into a warm and inviting interior where straight-back chairs in black contrast dramatically with tables covered with white tablecloths. The ambience, neither too casual nor overly refined, is fine for an intimate dinner and equally suitable for dining with family or friends. The Italian menu, although mostly comprised of standard regional recipes, is well-prepared and there are a few notable specials on the list including the agnello e castagne, rack of lamb with chestnut sauce. The osso buco con polenta is an Italian classic, braised veal shank served atop polenta. However, despite the fact that Pierangelo succeeds in creating some dishes that rise above the standard, it doesn't completely justify the excessive price tags for selections that can be found elsewhere.
