Hunan Gourmet Description:
The restaurant is elegant, with mahogany paneled walls, an exquisite chandelier, a high ceiling, and a warren of gracious and attentive waiters. The menu covers the gamut from light fare, such as steamed mixed vegetables with sauce on the side, to hot and spicy crispy prawns with walnuts, Hunan lamb, and a whole fish with hot sauce. And for those with a more delicate palate, there's the Hunan Gourmet version of Peking duck, sizzling scallops with beef, and a festive dish called seven stars with moon---sliced chicken, fresh scallops with various vegetables in brown sauce and a large deep-fried chicken breast on top, all surrounded by seven deep-fried jumbo shrimp. Incidentally, you won't find any MSG on the premises or in the offerings on the extensive take out menu.
