Greensboro Coliseum Complex Description:

Parking:

Parking Location: The Greensboro Coliseum maintains 6,000+ parking spaces in paved, lighted and managed parking lots on site at the facility. 4,800 spaces are located in the main parking lot accessible by entering the parking gates from Ellington Street and Patterson Avenue. Additional parking spaces are located in front of War Memorial Auditorium and across Lee Street in the Lee Street Parking Lot at the northeast corner of Lee Street and Coliseum Boulevard.

Season Parking Gate: The private Season Parking Pass gate for Sports teams and Symphony events is located along Coliseum Boulevard where special season passes are accepted.

RV Parking: For certain events, overnight RV parking is permitted to include power service of 50 amps for $40 per RV per night. Space is subject to available and limited. Call 336-373-7492 to request availability.

Public Transportation:

Mass transit directions: The Greensboro Transit Authority (GTA) maintains a stop nearby the Coliseum Complex at the intersection of High Point Road and Patterson Street. Route 11 - High Point Road Serving Urban Ministries, Greensboro Health Serve Medical Center, Industries of the Blind, Greensboro Coliseum Complex and War Memorial Auditorium.

General Rules:

The following items are prohibited from being brought into the Greensboro Coliseum Complex:

Alcoholic or other beverages, artificial noise makers,
Audio or Video Recording equipment. Cameras (policy may vary by event), Bags or Backpacks (larger than 10”x 8”x 8”), Beach Balls, Canes, Chains or Sticks of any length (non-medical use canes), Cans, Glass or Metal containers, coolers (unless containinge medical supplies), Diaper Bags (unless accompanied by a baby), Fireworks or any Explosive, Folding Chairs, Food and beverage, Helium Balloons, illegal Drugs, Knives of any size, Laser Pointers, Pets (except service animals for the disabled), Promotional items with commercial identification, Strollers, Tape Recorders,
Umbrellas, Weapons of any description (weapons carried with a permit are also prohibited), Signs, banners, flags or any other items that would either obstruct the view of a patron or serve as a dangerous projectile or security risk.

Other items that in the judgment of Coliseum management pose a safety risk or diminish the enjoyment of an event by other patrons.

Miscellaneous:

Guest Services: Guest Services staff are available to assist with questions, problems, suggestions or special needs related to events. Guest Services is located at Section 103 in the Coliseum. Guest Services staff circulates throughout the Auditorium and Special Events Center.

First Aid: First Aid stations are located in Coliseum facilities and are staffed with Guilford County
Paramedics.

Lost & Found: Lost and found items should be taken to Guest Services at section 103 or give to a Coliseum Event Staff Person. To check for lost and found items after your return home, please call 336-373-7400 during normal business hours.

Re-cycling: The Coliseum Complex is dedicated to protecting our environment and to sustaining the quality of life for all citizens of Greensboro. The Coliseum offers recycling containers in lobby areas and concourses. Patrons are encouraged to deposit all empty aluminum cans and bottles, newspapers, and empty plastic bottles in the designated recycling containers to assist in recycling efforts.

Consent Inspections: Guests are subject to consent inspections upon entering Greensboro Coliseum Complex facilities. Consent inspections may involve metal detectors. Patrons refusing to follow entry policies will not be admitted.

Dress Code: Shirts and shoes are required to be worn at all events at Greensboro Coliseum Complex.

Smoke-free facility: Smoking is prohibited inside Coliseum Complex facilities which are designated as smoke-free. Smoking is only allowed in specific outside designated locations and is subject to availability. Coliseum Management reserves the right to not operate an outside smoking area based on management factors pertaining to specific events.

Cameras or Recording Devices: Greensboro Coliseum policies listed above regulate size cameras and lens however, some performers have policies that further restrict cameras or any recoding devices from being brought into Coliseum facilities. When an artist requests a “no camera or recording device” policy, we are obligated to enforce this policy upon request. Please check in advance or with an Event Staff person prior to entering the facility to avoid any issues at entry gates or with show security staff.

ATMs are located in the Arena outside section 102 and in the SEC lobby.


Driving direction to Greensboro Coliseum Complex:
I-85 SOUTH / I-40 WEST FROM BURLINGTON:

I-40 West to Greensboro take Exit 218-B which is Freeman Mill Road. Go 1/4 mile and turn left on Coliseum Boulevard. Two miles to the Complex on your left.


I-85 NORTH FROM CHARLOTTE:

On I-85 North from Charlotte, take Exit 120 toward I-40 West and Business 85 North. DO NOT TAKE I-40 East. Continue to Exit 35-B which is Highway 220 North. This is a cloverleaf exit. Proceed 2 miles and turn left on Coliseum Boulevard. 1.5 miles to the Coliseum on your left. Turn left onto Ellington Street and right into the main entrance.


I-40 EAST FROM WINSTON-SALEM:

I-40 East to Greensboro take Exit 216 – Patterson Street and continue straight ahead for 2 miles to the Complex.


HIGHWAY 220 NORTH FROM ASHEBORO:

Highway 220 North to Greensboro turns into Freeman Mill Road. Stay on Freeman Mill Road. After crossing I-85, proceed 1.8 miles and turn left onto Coliseum Boulevard. 1.5 miles to the Complex on your left, turn left onto Ellington Street and right into the main entrance.


HIGHWAY 220 SOUTH FROM VIRGINIA:

On Highway 220 South to Greensboro, road changes name to Battleground Avenue in the City. After crossing Cornwallis, keep right which becomes Westover Terrace. Continue straight on Westover Terrace which becomes Aycock Street. Continue straight for 3 miles across Spring Garden Street. Turn right at the next light which is Lee Street (Wendy's on the right). The Complex is one mile on your left. Turn left onto Coliseum Boulevard.


THROUGH TOWN DIRECTIONS FROM PIEDMONT TRIAD INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT:

Leave the airport and turn right on Bryan Boulevard. Go 8 miles and turn right on Aycock Street. Continue straight for 2 miles across Spring Garden Street. Turn right at the next light which is Lee Street (Wendy's on the corner). The Complex is one mile on your left. Turn left onto Coliseum Boulevard. Timing is more favorable than on highway.


HIGHWAY DIRECTIONS FROM PIEDMONT TRIAD INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT:

Leave the airport and turn left on Bryan Boulevard to Highway 68 South. Follow 68 South to I-40. Go under the bridge and take I-40 East to Greensboro. Take Exit 216 – Patterson Street and continue straight ahead for 2 miles to the Complex. Total trip 14 miles - timing depends on highway traffic - I-40 construction underway
