With its restored brick walls, sleek, wide-planked wood flooring and original stained glass, this pleasing spot features a wine list that includes over 40 white and sparkling wines and some 70 reds. But the heart of the matter is the food, beginning with savory donut holes, stuffed with shredded beef and kissed with pan gravy, red chile-mango chutney, micro greens and ground bacon. A must-try for dinner is the Irish New Yorker, a strip steak marinated in Guinness stout, whiskey, sesame oil, garlic and oregano with a shot of Jameson whiskey on the side for dipping each succulent bite. Also memorable is the Boursin and crab tenderloin, a 12-ounce, bone-in beef tenderloin, crusted with lump crab meat and Boursin cheese. Be sure to save room for a slice of the classic red velvet cake or the chocolate truffle torte.
