A Glen Burnie strip mall might seem an unlikely venue for fine dining, but step inside this softly lit, pink-tinged restaurant to be reminded that a book should not be judged by its cover. This Italian kitchen turns out beautiful, flavorful, upscale Italian meals of a quality rare in these parts. The calamari salad is silken, requiring nothing more than lemon and olive oil to bring it to life. The fettuccine alla matriciana is altogether satisfying, redolent with pancetta and fresh tomato. And grilled fish, such as a grouper strewn with black olives and capers, is a guaranteed showstopper. Only the wine list is disappointing. Absolutely ask the price of daily specials before ordering if you are concerned about the tab.
