This farm, restored as a sumptuous Relais and Chateau, inspired many painters of the 19th century: Monet, Sisley and Courbet stayed there frequently. Today the hotel has a spa, an indoor pool, a sauna and a fitness center. The restaurant serves mainly seafood and regional cuisine.
In a manorial setting, the chef zealously presents local products, like scampi and foie gras, turbot and apples. The patrons are mostly moneyed Parisians who don't pay much attention to the bill. They'd rather look at the superb rustic décor of the dining room with its handsome furnishings and view of the estuary. If you're a little more conscious of the coming bill, stick to the €55 carte.
