Z Grille Description:
Youthful chef Zack Gross does things a little differently. His dining room is sleek and dripping with attitude, with its paintings referencing tattoo art by local legend Evil Don, and ten-foot bamboo half-pipe in homage to skateboarding. Servers are young and hip, sometimes a little too flip, and the food follows suit with just the right amount of swagger. There are kooky Americana Dr. Pepper-fried ribs, lots of spins on deviled eggs and a BLT with fat seared sea scallops that will knock your socks off. Or consider the build-your-own taco platter---twin tacos or beer-battered Baja fish. The food is hard to categorize, but the menu has crept aboard to give Z Grille a Nuevo Latino flair. The full bar features a number of martinis and a laudable short list of craft beers (including local Evander Beer from Pass-A-Grille).
