The varied menu and its location make The Garden popular with the weekday lunch crowd as well as people seeking casual outdoor dining anytime. The garden portion of the eatery offers a chance to dine in the shade and company of one of the oldest surviving grand old banyan trees left in St. Petersburg while the kitchen, bar and majority of the tables are in the oldest building in the city (dating back to the 1800s). Menu items range from appetizers like sautéed mussels and portobello mushrooms (grilled, usually served with three cheeses and bacon) to pastas and mains such as pork osso buco and a lamb kebab. Adding to the experience, there's also a gallery of local and national artists' works.
