The St. Petersburg location is part of a small, family owned chain spawned from one of the oldest (Tampa, 1905), still proudly producing area restaurants.
Located halfway up a 5 story (upside down) pyramid on the west coast of Tampa Bay. After dinner one's party can travel up to the top floor for a 360 degree look at Tampa Bay.
The original Ybor City (Tampa) location is the area's premier landmark restaurant.
While this first cousin of the famed Ybor City landmark lacks a sense of Old Spain because of its location, no matter. The unique and always-striking view of Tampa Bay from the Pier (an upside-down three-story pyramid building) more than compensates. In addition to seafood and steak options, the chicken and yellow rice is a signature while the 1905 salad is still prepared tableside. This chef's salad comes with an olive oil-and-vinegar-based dressing with garlic, lemon and herbs. In fact, the dressing is so popular it's sold for take-out as is the sangría mix and signature brand coffee. Another favorite is sea bass Bilbao, a casserole created with sliced tomatoes, potatoes and onions, with extra virgin olive oil, garlic and lemon. Try to leave room for even more Cuban-Spanish traditions---like flan for dessert.
