Snapper's Sea Grill Description:
Seafood abounds in this part of Florida, so sometimes it's difficult to find creativity. At Snapper's, the menu is somewhat limited but still tasty and original. While it does offer a few non-seafood selections---baby-back ribs, for example, or a grilled filet mignon topped with blue cheese butter and onion straws, or a meat loaf of veal and pork---it's items from the nearby Gulf of Mexico and points beyond that star. For appetizers, try the oyster Osceola (oysters baked with calaloo spinach, chorizo, manchego jack cheese and jalapeño) or the tasty blue-crab crab cake served with a house rémoulade. Entrées include fried shrimp, scallops, New England haddock, clams, cod and grouper, but the broiled selections somehow seem more creative. The house favorite is the broiled stuffed grouper, with a filling of scallops, shrimp, fish and crab meat topped with a white sauce and mashed potatoes.
