Barnacle Bill's Description:
If you want lip-smacking good shrimp and fish dinners for a fair price, most locals agree that Barnacle Bill's is the place to go. Owner Chris Way has long been serving up seafood favorites: crab cakes, soft-shell crabs, oysters, shrimp and fish. He also experiments with offbeat dishes, evolving a recipe until he gets it right before serving it as a daily special. No doubt about it, the food is enough to bring people back, but it doesn't hurt that Way is also the creator of Dat'l Do-it Hot Sauce, made from St. Augustine's famous datil peppers. When Way first put the hot sauce out on the tables, diners became so enamored by it that they accidentally slipped the bottles into their pockets and purses. Way figured if people would steal it, they might also buy it. Today, his famous sauce is sold nationwide in grocery stores and specialty shops.

Review :
We walked to this restaurant from downtown St. Augustine, and our stroll was far more pleasurable than the dining experience. Be prepared when dining at Barnacle Bills - for screaming babies and acoustical issues while you dine. The slightest sound bounces off the walls because the ceiling is very low.
The food was okay, but not memorable, and we considered it a waste of our time and money - since we could not hear a word of our conversation over the crying.
