Grand Floridian Café Description:
The Grand Floridian Café is tucked away on the first floor of the beautiful Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and if you want to escape the ubiquitous Disney characters at the adjacent 1900 Park Fare restaurant, this is a good spot for a meal that's away from the hustle and bustle. Friendly servers whisk you to a table in the airy, light-filled dining room, where the menu is all-American with something for everyone. The breakfast menu includes classics like eggs Benedict, waffles and pancakes; for lunch, we like the Grand sandwich, a sort-of open-face club with creamy Boursin cheese. The dinner menu is more ambitious, with creations like spice-dusted tuna with red pepper-garbanzo purée or a New York strip steak with blue cheese butter. Even the burger is fancy, with lobster, asparagus and horseradish-chive hollandaise. The Grand's pastry chef provides desserts, from tiramisu to Florida Key lime pie with a chocolate crust, absolutely the best part of the meal.
