Bongos Cuban Café Description:
Emilio and Gloria Estefan opened Bongos after success with Larios in south Miami Beach. The Orlando outpost is a beautiful design, a two-story pineapple-shaped adobe structure; inside a dazzling mosaic of hand-painted murals evoke Old World Cuba of the 1940s and '50s. Sadly, the food does not match the fabulous décor. It's overpriced and overcooked, with servers that don't seem to care. If you're out for an evening at Downtown Disney, we recommend a stop in the lively downstairs bar, where they make some of the best mojitos in town. Nosh on side orders of black beans, maduros (sweet plaintains) or tostones (green plaintains).
