Dakota's Grill & Bar Description:
Located along one of the county's busiest thoroughfares, Dakota's is a welcome respite and a good place to meet friends for a few wings and a ball game. TV sets abound, and there are booths and tables and a bar, offering a variety of views. The menu is extensive and has more offerings than a typical sports bar. Appetizers are both expected and creative, from cheese fries and quesadillas to ten-inch pizzas. Entrées include prime rib, steaks and pastas, some with creative labels like The Maverick (eight- or 12-ounce center-cut grilled tenderloin) and the Hitchcock (nine-ounce flat iron steak). The Yucatan chicken is a marinated jerk chicken breast topped with cheese and a tomato mango sauce. A signature item is the Sioux City shepherd's pie (beef, corn, carrots, peas and gravy, topped with cheese and mashed potatoes). And there are more than two dozen beers on hand.
