La China Description:
The Fletcher Hills area, straddling San Diego and El Cajon, may be well-to-do, but is so under-served, as it were, by restaurants that the opening of even a modest establishment like La China is major news. Better yet, the food is not only excellent, but a terrific bargain. This is one of the few Chinese restaurants in the area to offer daily specials, and we keep our eye on the blackboard for such seasonal treats as the nicely al dente stir-fried asparagus garnished with shrimp. The Shanghai-style egg rolls are also satisfying, and we especially enjoy the creamy pecan shrimp and crunchy pan-fried noodles.
