A jewel in the heart of Edmonton's river valley, the 84 year-old Royal Mayfair Golf & Country Club was officially opened on May 27, 1922. Over the years Royal Mayfair has garnered a reputation as one of Canada's finest golf courses, having hosted the Canadian Open (1958), Canadian Amateur (1968), Canadian Senior Ladies' Amateur (1979), CPGA
Championship (1980), the Canadian Senior Championship (1982), Canadian Ladies' Amateur Championship (1993), Western Canadian Junior
Invitational (1995), the Edmonton Telus Open (1999), and the final round of the World Masters Games Tournament (2005), as well as numerous local and provincial tournaments.
