Don Taco Description:
This family-friendly fast-food restaurant, the last left standing in a small chain, purveys dishes that are mostly grilled and wrapped in fresh or fried tortillas, your choice of flour or corn (we like the latter). Cut off the engine if you're in the drive-through and prepare to wait a minute as your food is only assembled to order. Nothing sates a gnawing hunger faster than these plump tacos, filled with your choice of meats. We like the asado, barbacoa and pastor, but you may also opt for lengua (tongue) and chicken, among others. Order them "con todo," so you have cilantro, onions and either freshly made green or red salsa. We're also partial to the crisp chicken flautas. Breakfast burritos are a full meal deal. Flan is the best of the competent desserts. The restaurant no longer serves alcohol.
