Perry's Description:
The young and the restless---and plenty of others, too---have turned Perrys into an Adams Morgan event. Climbing the stone staircase to its second-story address, you might think you've slipped into a period piece: it's decorated in burgundy and red and lit by a funky and improbable chandelier. The long bar and the rooftop dining annex are lively places that attract a young and worldly set. The menu is surprising, pairing unusual Japanese sushi with an eclectic assortment of tapas fare, but your best bet may well be the sushi fare. We fancy the Perrys Roll, with its crawfish, surimi crab, avocado, flying fish roe and shiso, and hope it stays on the menu. Perrys may put on a nightlong party, but its most outrageous event is the Sunday morning brunch---you have to see it to believe it. Perrys does not take reservations for the brunch, so arrive early.
