Sign of the Whale Description:
Though decorated like an Alpine lodge, including a central fireplace, it strives to maintain its namesake maritime theme with dishes such as the Captain Ahab burger. More ironically, the bar founded by Sixties radicals Tom Hayden and Jane Fonda has become a fond happy hour spot for the suits in the legal district. At least, the low-cost food (including biweekly free taco bars), weekend dancing till 3am, and 21 choices of beer attract a younger crowd of twenty-somethings in the evenings. It is also a hotspot for Sunday brunch, featuring one of the largest "make your own" Bloody Mary bars in the metro area.
