Plum Tree has a quaint, lighthearted charm, with its ample outdoor seating and large indoor dining room. In an otherwise spare setting, somewhat kitschy but cute red lanterns hang from the white-tiled ceiling, and the windows surrounded in brick-red faintly recall a traditional Japanese country home. The menu, like the atmosphere, is traditionally Japanese with a cute twist on a few items. Try the house special tuna loti, a seared spicy tuna wrapped in a pancake. The sushi menu is considerably more extensive and includes the standard selection of rolls, including the signature Plum Tree roll, with yellowtail, tuna and eel topped with red, green and yellow tobiko.
