Top Steak House Description:
With over 50 years of history, a recent change in ownership in 2007 has kept Top Steak House as a fine dining steakhouse with a new emphasis on designer greens and a new Italian house dressing. Still retaining the '50s look with a dark interior dining room, long bar and piano bar. Entrees include the usual aged top quality steaks, large lambchops, veal, chicken and other choices. A choice of two sides with each entree not counting two onion rings with each meal. Prices are reasonable and probably less than many comparable top end steakhouses. Loacated several blocks west of James Rd on E Main St and east of Bexley. No children's menu is offered.
Open since 1955, this independently-owned steakhouse is decorated with dark Naugahyde booths, wood paneling and a fireplace, and it features a piano bar where local musicians play four nights a week. The restaurant ages its meats for up to six weeks, later turning out charbroiled cuts like filet, rib-eye and pork chops. Fresh salmon, lobster tail and Chilean sea bass also are served. The tiramisu milkshake, a twist on the classic Italian dessert, is a blend of liquors and vanilla ice cream topped with whipped cream, cinnamon and coffee beans.
