Columbus Fish Market Description:
Reel. Fresh. Fish. The Columbus Fish Market, located at State route 23 and I-270 in the Crosswoods development north of Columbus, accepts daily delivery of a wide variety of fresh fish flown in from all coasts. Largest selection of fresh seafood in the city of Columbus, Ohio with over 80 tempting seafood choices
The name doesn't quite describe the Columbus Fish Market, which recollects the noisy, smelly coastal places where you score freshly caught fish to prepare at home. This Cameron Mitchell property is loud, but that's where the comparison ends. It's classy with rich woods, nautical paintings and ship models. Fresh fish is hand cut and filleted on site in the restaurant's temperature-controlled cutting room. It also has a counter where you can purchase fresh fish and seasonings for cooking at home. As for the menu, it is only printed once the chef sees what fish is flown in daily. We opt to begin with the crab, spinach and artichoke dip. Among entrées, the San Francisco cioppino is our favorite. One look at the dessert menu and the sharkfin pie, with butter fudge ice cream, honey-roasted peanuts, fudge, peanut butter and an Oreo cookie crust, will call your name. But the Key lime pie with macadamia nut crust is solid, too. Dessert martinis and coffee drinks also sing a siren song. Try the Ultimate Key Lime with Absolut vanilla, Parrot Bay rum, freshly squeezed lime juice and a graham cracker rim or Cameron's coffee with Godiva chocolate liqueur and Baileys Irish Cream, topped with whipped cream and crème de menthe.
