Cap City Fine Diner features typical diner food like meatloaf along with finer cuisine such as Romana-encrusted chicken. While reservations are not taken for smaller groups, they do accept call-ahead seating. A children's menu is offered.
Cap City is an updated re-creation of the look and feel of an old-time diner. The meatloaf, enhanced by mushrooms and accompanied by---what else---mashed potatoes, is a standout. Other choices include ponzu-glazed salmon with sticky rice, stir-fried vegetables and pineapple ginger sauce as well as hot-and-sour calamari with crispy fried rice noodles and bell peppers. But if you prefer to stick with down-home fare, you'll find chili dogs, fried chicken, blue-plate specials and a variety of homemade pies and desserts, too. The restaurant also serves a gluten-free menu with a large array of choices.
