City Barbecue Description:
Cuisine featuring southern flavored BBQ, beef brisket, pulled pork, ribs and other entrees priced from $5 to $18. Side dishes are made from scratch. No children's menu is offered. They offer off-site catering, including a unique whole smoked hog.
Decor is woody with picnic tables in open inside areas and on the front patio. This is a self-service restaurant where you wait in line to reach a counter where they take and deliver your order. This place is very popular, so expect long lines on weekends and customers jockeying for tables.
Located on the small strip of Columbus sandwiched between Whitehall and Reynoldsburg and just east of the I-270 and E. Main St. interchange. The building is redesigned from the formal home of Denny's restaurant on the far east side. There is a party room that you can rent free with purchase of food. Several large trophies sit against the back wall for BBQ awards.
