Old Chicago has decent pies and good beer at a modest price. Guys meet for an ice cold Bud or a local microbrew and to watch the game. Families come for a modestly priced night out. Whatever you need, Old Chicago can help you on all of these counts, as they split their energies between equal parts sports bar and old-fashioned pizza parlor. The pies are pretty good, middle-of-the-road versions that are consistent but neither thrill nor offend. The broad selection of Italian offerings walks a similar tightrope. Calzones, spaghetti platters and other old-country entrées are respectable but won't make you cry for your Sicilian mother-in-law's cooking.
