Nunzio Ristorante Rustico Description:
Nunzio Patruno's solo enterprise is just a few minutes from downtown Philadelphia, and it is quite a place. Done to resemble a piazza in Italy, it has stucco walls in a pale adobe color that suggest doorways and windows surrounding the main square. There is even a dome painted blue with clouds, so it feels like daylight all the time. Murals show the quaint trulli (little white conical houses) that are native to Apulia, Patruno's birthplace. The food, ingredient-driven and true to tradition, is topnotch. Whether it is fish or meat, everything is fresh and delightful. Bring your best Barolo and enjoy.
