Morton's the Steakhouse Description:
Morton's attracts local sports heroes, visiting celebrities and those otherwise comfortable paying top dollar for fine dining. The real reason to come to this downtown steakhouse, though, is for one of the aged, top-quality porterhouses, available in one-and-a-half pound or three-pound cuts. To avoid ruining your appetite, go easy on the starters---we like the lump crab direct from Louisiana and served with a spicy rémoulade sauce. Sides are sized for sharing---baked potatoes, overgrown broccoli, creamed spinach and sautéed mushrooms. If you are not in the mood for beef, you can secure a good chop or a fresh piece of salmon as well. A notable wine list complements the fare. For dessert, a tawny port pairs well with the hot chocolate cake. Service is professional. Lighter fare and stiff martinis are served during twice-daily happy hours at Bar 1221, the restaurant's intimate lounge.
